(The Eden 'Double Decker' Range will provide all the capacity to grow a full range of delicious vegetables. At 14ins high the depth of compost will allow you to include deep rooting varieties such as carrots, parsnips and turnips. These beds are also ideal for planting potatoes.
Raised beds are open at the bottom which will enable plants to secure more nutrients.If you are positioning your beds on existing soil, consider loosening the soil underneath. This is much easier to complete before assembling your growing bed in position. Your growing beds will have an aesthetic appeal, but will also provide good drainage to your plants, as they are raised above ground level. This will ultimately allow the soil to warm up more quickly and allow for better growing conditions.
